Let's Celebrate: An Eid Eye Makeup Tutorial (Glamorous)

Hey Loves!

Hope you're all doing great. Eid is just round the corner! *woop woop* I don't even know where this month went honestly! Hope you're all having a wonderful and blessed Ramadhan (or what's left of it!)

I was a little stuck on what my next blog post should be about and a lot of you gave me your ideas (thank you thank you) and the one that stood out to me most was an Eid Series. How fun!

So I'm going to be showing you two Eye Make up looks for Eid and two Hairstyle ideas. One of each will be a Glamorous take on Eid and the other will be a toned down, Natural version. They will be pretty basic and easy looks, using minimal products and perfect if you're just starting out with your make up and hair experiments!

Let's begin with the Glamorous Eye Make up today shall we!

Products I used:

  • Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo - Eternal Gold

  • MUA Glamour Nights Eyeshadow Palette

  • Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting 24hr Gel Eyeliner - Black

  • Mac Eyebrow Pencil- Spiked

  • Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal - Nude

  • Maybelline Falsies Flared Volum' Express Mascara - Black

  • ELF Professional Eye Crease Brush

  • Red Cherry False Eyelashes - No. 48

1. I applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo all over my eyelids, in the inner corner and lower lash line using my fingers.

2. Taking the ELF crease brush, I applied the blue eyeshadow from the MUA Palette into the crease of my eye for some definition and blended it towards the inner corner.

3. I also applied the same eyeshadow two thirds of the way into the inner corner on my bottom lash line.

4. Taking the Rimmel Khol liner, I applied it to my water line to open up my eyes and make the blue eyeshadow POP!

5. Time for my eyeliner! Using one of my favourites of all time, the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner with the brush that it came with.

6. No Glamorous Makeup Look is complete without lashings of Mascara! But of course! (I curled my eyelashes first for some lift.)

7. I then applied my Red Cherry No. 48 False Lashes and filled in my eyebrows.

Finished Eye Makeup Look!

Hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. If this is too over the top for you then wait for my toned down, Natural Eid look which will be up soon.

Until next time Beauties!

  1. Hello Hera,

How do you apply fake eyelashes and ensure they stay on?

    1. Hi Rafia. I use the Duo Lash adhesive. Apply a fairly thin layer to the false lash band and wait about 20 seconds for the glue to become tacky. Then place the lash down from the middle first (use tweezers or your fingers, what ever is easier for you) and then the sides. Try and get it as close to your lash line as possible (you can cover the gaps with eyeliner later.) Make sure you don't apply them too far into the inner corner or the band will irritate you when you blink and start coming off. Also, trim the lash strip (from the outside edge) to make sure the lashes fit. Often its the size of the strip that makes them come off. Keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it eventually. Hope this helps x

  2. Gorgeous look, I love the hairstyle you've got!
